Caster Changes

Damage Type Shifting

If a spellcaster would like to change the damage type of certain spells to better fit a certain archetype (maybe changing fireball to cryoball (cold damage) to play a cryomancer, or cone of cold to cone of the deep sea (bludgeoning damage) for a hydrosophist), they may do so, provided this damage type change remains consistent throughout the campaign.

Spell Preparation on Field Rest

Prepared casters may prepare their spell list at the end of a field rest in addition to a long rest.

Known Casting Limited Spell Exchange

All known spellcasters (Bards, Sorcerers, and Warlocks) can swap one spell known for another one of its level at the end of a field or long rest.

Bonus Half Feats

All characters who receive cantrips as part of their base class features receive their choice of Aberrant Dragonmark, Artificer Initiate, Magic Initiate, Fey Touched, Shadow Touched, or Elemental Adept, feat at total levels 5 and 11 of the aforementioned classes. If they take a feat that boosts a stat (such as Fey Touched) in this way, they do not increase any stats when they receive the feat.

Reworked Restriction On Leveled Spells Per Turn

The bonus action spell clause restricting other spells cast that turn to be cantrips is removed.

You can only cast one leveled spell each turn. You cannot cast a leveled spell and use the ready action to hold a leveled spell on the same turn.

Scroll Casting For Casters

Spells from scrolls can be cast even if they contain spells not on your spell list. In addition, the check to cast a spell of a higher level than you have spell slots can be made with Arcana or your Spellcasting Modifier, your choice.
